Student Spotlight: Terry Weeks

Selecting a student for the Student Spotlight is always a difficult task because there are so many deserving students. When Stan Basurto, Admission representative at Tucson College, nominated electrical student Terry Weeks it was an obvious choice though. Weeks completed a transformation during his time at Tucson College. On March 22 Weeks completed the Electrical Technician Program requirements and exceeded his own expectations.

When searching for a college, Weeks narrowed his options down to three schools: ITT Technical Institute, Brown Mackie College and Tucson College.

“The other two schools gave up on me after leaving a couple of messages...It made me feel included so I wanted to be a part of it.”

It seems that Basurto’s persistence paid off because not only did Weeks enroll at Tucson College and graduate, he also enjoyed his time and his experience with his instructors.

“Everything is great. I feel like I got more than I bargained for here. My instructors are very informative and helpful,” stated Weeks.

When asked why he chose the electrical program Weeks said, “The future has endless opportunities.” He is not wrong.

Congratulations Terry Weeks for working hard and completing your program. Everyone at Tucson College is proud of you and your accomplishments and cannot wait for you to grace the graduation stage on April 16, 2016.
